Welcome to Coxleigh Barton! Set within 400 acres of beautiful North Devon farmland just outside Barnstaple. We are a BHS-Approved Livery Yard and Equestrian Facilities Centre. Facilities
Our stabling and paddocks accommodate over 25 horses, complemented by a spacious 50 x 70 competition arena and a floodlit 20 x 60 arena equipped with show jumps.
Whether you are training for an event or competition, or would like to host an event; our facilities are for hire to individuals, groups, and clubs. Join us for a variety of show jumping events or enjoy the expertise of our accredited instructor, Sara Gallagher, for personalised coaching that meets your needs.
Livery
Coxleigh Barton Equestrian Centre is a distinguished BHS Approved Livery Yard in North Devon. With our ‘Highly Commended’ BHS rating, we offer superior DIY, part, and full livery, complemented by exceptional facilities for both horse and rider.
Our livery clients benefit from exclusive use of their own paddocks, with 24-hour turnout, 7 days a week. Each paddock is electrically fenced and has their own water supply. You are free to manage your horses’ grazing and routine in a way that best suits you and your horse. We also offer ph testing, weed management, harrowing and rolling when required.

Memberships
Enjoy unlimited access to our beautiful woodland tracks, plus one hour arena hire each week in our 60 x 20 arena. You’ll also receive an additional hour of half-price arena hire in our larger 50 x 70 arena.
Our Junior Membership is designed for children under 16, this is available for just £199 per year. For more details and to download an application form, click here.
Our Adult Membership is for anyone over 16 years of age and is available for just £225 per year. For more details and to download an application form, click here.
Our Woodland Tracks Membership is available for just £99 per year. This gives you unlimited access to 15 kilometers of woodland and tracks. For more details and to download an application form, click here.
Camps and Clinics
At Coxleigh Barton we are able to offer fantastic residential camps for both children and adults. These camps are a great way to learn and gain confidence and experience whilst having fun!

As well as organising and running our own camps, Coxleigh is also a popular venue for those wishing to organise their own camps and clinics. Whether you are a Pony Club, Riding Club, Professional Instructor or just a group of friends that want a break away with your horse. Give us a call for more information.

Gallagher Equestrian
Sara has over 40 years of experience in the equestrian industry and is a British Horse Society Accredited Professional Coach. She has the following qualifications:
BHS Level 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship
UKCC Level 3
BS Coach
NVQ2 Horse Care and Equitation
National Diploma Equine and Business Studies.
Sara is also fully insured, trained in safeguarding, fully compliant with CPD, first-aid trained and holds an enhanced DBS certificate.
Based at Coxleigh Barton, Sara offers freelance training and coaching in all disciplines of riding and stable management for all ages and abilities.

Schools Show Jumping League
The Schools Show Jumping League is a friendly, local showjumping competition designed to encourage all pupils with ponies, or access to ponies, to take part in the event and represent their respective schools.
The league can be entered by teams of 3 or 4 riders, or by individual pupils. There are 7 different height categories from 30/40cm to 1m to ensure we cater for all abilities.
Over the season, league points can be accumulated, culminating in a Championship Show Jumping Competition in July, just before the start of the new academic year.
Barnstaple Equestrian Supplies
Barnstaple Equestrian Supplies is a North Devon Tack Shop offering a friendly, personal service to happy hackers through to professional equestrians and carries all the major equestrian brands. It is run independently and can be found in Unit 6-7 at Coxleigh Barton. They have everything you need for horse and rider, from riding hats to horse feed and everything in between. The Little Farm Shop At Shirwell
Located within Barnstaple Equestrian Supplies in Unit 6-7 at Coxleigh Barton, you will find local produce for sale from The Little Farm Shop at Shirwell. Offering a range of every day essentials plus all those tasty treats you love to find in a local farm shop. If you are passing, then pop in for a pit stop and enjoy a freshly ground coffee and cake or pasty.
