SATURDAY 23rd JUNE
Gates Open at 12noon. All kids activities are Free or change with your entrance fee. We kick off the weekend with a Novice race which will be 1 circuit of the track approx 35mins/1hour. We welcome any rider over 14 years of age. We have our main event GRAVA at 3.30pm this is a 3 hour endurance race 100% off Road - we are lucky enough to be set in the most beautiful part of North Devon - with acres upon acres of off road woodland tracks and farmland. Making the ultimate mixed terrain course.
We will have Live Music in our marquee from 6pm. So you can kick back and relax with a locally brewed pint after your race. Camping could be essential, certainly after you have settled down with some yummy grub from North Devon’s finest selections and maybe another pint or two! We will have a secured camping area with full use of shower and WC facilities.
Kids of all ages will be well entertained - with Go-Kart, balance bike obstacle course, BMX style pump track. Make your own smoothie by peddle power and even create a work of art! AND SO MUCH MORE......But better than that, it is all FREE with your admission!!
SUNDAY 24th JUNE
Gates open at 9.30am. STRADA - will be setting off at 10.30am from Coxleigh Barton. We have a beautiful route for the VeloFest ride taking in areas of the Exmoor National Park and North Devon Coast. Total distance is 71km with 1450m of climbing. We will have Strava Segment prizes for our riders.
- Kentisbury Ford to Blackmore Gate: 2.78km at 4.2%
- Simonsbath turn to Top: 1.61km at 6.7%
- Shamble Way: 1.3km at 9.2%
With plenty to keep the kids happy, maybe pop down to Barnstaple Rugby Club for the 2nd leg of the Cycle Polo European Championships! We are proud to be hosting teams from France and Germany as well as our home nation.
